Sandown
Sandown is a very popular destination on the island, and provides a traditional bucket and spade holiday for those wanting this type of holiday. Sandown has a lot of hotels, guest houses, cafes and restaurants and is a good place for activities as there is a pier with a children’s indoor play area (magic island) a small fairground, arcades, indoor crazy golf, bars , cafes and other amusements. So it is the perfect place for an activity fuelled day, and for the evening there are plenty of bars for you to go to and sit overlooking the sea.
Towards the end of Sandown is Yaverland where there is a long-hole pitch and putt course plus the famous Isle of Wight Zoo and Dinosaur Isle.
Sandown Town is long with lots of small seasonal shops and places to eat.
