« back to About the Isle of Wight
Shanklin
Shanklin is one of the oldest towns on the island and is quite large there is three parts they are the seafront, the shops and also the old village, there is a lift from the seafront to the top as the walk back up from the seafront is quite steep.
Shanklin has a quieter ambiance about it than its joining town Sandown but there are many activities to indulge into just like Sandown there are lots of activities to enjoy, there is a children’s indoor play area, arcade and crazy golf and lots of cafes and restaurants overlooking the sea.
